WINE TASTING
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2021, 1:00 to 5:00 PM
Charlotte Luebehusen, Breakthru Beverage

Notorious Pink Grenache Rose 2020, South France…..$16.99……….$14.49
A special cuvée made from Grenache by Domaine la Colombette in Southern France.
Aromas of ripe peaches, plums, lavender, pear, orange, honey, floral, and herbal. On the palate:
melons, raspberries, sweet cherry, peach, crisp, good acidity, well balanced. On the finish:
stewed apples, hint
of spice, good minerality, gentle and long finish. EXCELLENT !

Infamous Gold Cabernet Blanc, South France…….$16.99……….$14.49
A special cuvee made from Cabernet Blanc, a new grape variety selected by the Pugibet family.
The brilliant color is bright, lemony, and golden touches. The nose is dominated by a fruity bouquet:
citric, exotic, and spicy fruits. On the palate, tastes like grapefruit, sweet spices (vanilla, cinnamon),
ending with salty notes.  Perfect with Thai cuisine, poultry, or as an aperitif.  DELICIOUS !

Harken Chardonnay 2019, California……….………….$12.99……….$10.99
Harken Chardonnay was created because wine drinkers missed the rich, oaky taste of
Chardonnays
gone by. At some point, someone decided that those great toasty notes and
buttery finish went out of style. So, Harken brought it back.

100% barrel fermented, 100% malolactic, 8 months on 60% American and 40% French oak.
This rich Chardonnay exhibits a classic profile of tropical fruit and Bosc pear alongside warm oak
aromatics. The luscious palate suggests crème brulée and buttered toast, and finishes with fresh acidity.

Mezzacorona DiNotte Red Blend 2018 IGT, Italy.………..$ 9.99……….$ 8.49
70% Teroldego, 15% Marzemino, 15% Merlot
Translating to “at night”, DiNotte includes two native varieties that grow in the foothills of the
Dolomites in northern Italy. Teroldego displays flavors of plum, blackberry, and blueberry, with a
full bodied texture and structure. Marzemino offers red fruit notes with a soft, velvety mouthfeel.
While the Merlot balances the wine with aromas of vanilla and cocoa.

Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon……….……$27.99……….$23.79
84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petite Verdot
“...approachable, delicious, generous Bordeaux blend, with soft, silky tannins and a plush, full
mouth-feel. Built to age and develop further complexity, the generous and juicy upfront fruit makes
it extremely
enjoyable in its youth. Aromas of dried herbs, lavender, fresh boysenberry and lanolin
join flavors
of dark fruit, led by figs, black cherry, and currants. The pronounced oak spice notes work
well with
the more traditional Knights Valley tones of black olive, wild sage, and mocha.
Well-balanced with
good acidity, structured tannins, and a superbly elegant finish.”
93 Points-James Suckling:
“Aromas of fresh black currants, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and tobacco.
It’s medium to
full-bodied with firm, sleek tannins. Fresh and tight with a cool, stony finish.”
